Maintenance Technician/Driver

*Maintenance Technician Driver* *Job Description* *OVERVIEW:* The Maintenance Technician Driver is responsible for first, providing safe, friendly and professional transportation of Green House Living for Sheridan’s Elders both to and from scheduled appointments and second, for assisting in the maintenance of GHLS facilities and property.
To provide safe and secure assistance to our Elders inside the vehicle, to their appointment locations and give them the same assistance after the appointment for transport back to GHLS.
Coordination of all Elder appointments and transportation needs are scheduled with the Maintenance Director.
Additionally the job will include the periodic maintenance and custodial duties as directed by the Maintenance Director.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* · Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must possess an unrestricted and current Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
· Experience in custodial services and facility maintenance, highly desirable.
· Experience with hand tools, cleaning machinery and household appliances, desirable.
*SKILLS REQUIRED:* · Ability to multi-task and follow given directions to job completion.
· Ability to communicate problems professionally with the supervisor and other staff.
· Has a willingness to learn daily maintenance operations and tasks as directed by supervisor.
· Ability to learn, apply and instruct staff on Emergency Operations and Preparedness actions.
· Works and communicates effectively as part of the maintenance operations team.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Have ability to learn and apply competency for “Sure-Lock” transport tie-down training.
· Remains professional and respectful to the Elders, other staff and other companies doing care and business with our facility, as a professional representing GHLS.
· Experience in custodial services and facility maintenance, is desirable.
· Experience with hand tools, cleaning machinery and household appliances, is desirable.
· Possess the ability to multi-task and follow directions from beginning to job completion.
· Work and communicate effectively as part of the maintenance operations team & our Elders.
· Performs directed and supervised maintenance of resident housing plumbing, heating and cooling, refrigeration, electrical, cleaning and communication systems.
· Perform various janitorial duties as required; i.
e.
deep cleaning of floors, carpets and walls.
· Performs directed work orders for remodeling, renovation & restoration projects on campus.
· Regulates operation and maintenance of smoke/heat detectors as well as fire alarm systems.
· Performs snow/ice removal; waste and hazardous materials removal and pest control duties.
· Accounts, inventories and distributes delivery of incoming/outgoing freight.
· Assists in necessary repairs or replaces defective equipment or parts using hand or machines.
· Performs inspections, operations and recording of maintenance work to include total costs.
· Inspects, cleans, and lubricates machinery as a part of the regular maintenance schedule.
· Maintains overall cleanliness and proper function of work areas, tools and machinery.
· Repairs windows, doors, walls and floors of the building, as directed and necessary.
· Assists with work orders and documentation, as directed and necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.
