*Radius Recycling has become one of the nation's largest recyclers of scrap metal.
Today, Radius Recycling operates 95 recycling facilities, including seven deep water ports – on both U.
S.
coasts and in Hawaii and Puerto Rico – which enable efficient delivery of processed scrap metals to steel mills and foundries around the world.
* *Job Details: * * *Position:* Local CDL-A Driver * *Pay: $27.
00 / Bi-Weekly Pay* * *Day Shift:*6:00am-4:00pm * *Benefits: *Medical, dental, pension plan, Paid Time Off, uniforms, & company paid cell phone * *Local Route: *Route to be driven (mileage and cities included in route) – Average 75 miles a day servicing Yellowstone county, bi weekly run to Roundup, Lewistown, and Harlowton (300 miles) done in 1 day.
* *Type of truck to be driven* – FL70 Strait truck 24’ bed with rack to carry 50’ material, 1997 Peterbilt with flatbed trailer.
* *REQUIREMENT: MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A MANUAL 18-SPEED* * *Enjoy Work/Life Balance, Home Every Night* * *Quarterly Safe Driving Bonus!* *Job Duties:* * Responsible for driving a tractor trailer combination or truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW to transport and deliver equipment and material to supplier, customer, storage, or processing locations * Maintain compliance with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and all applicable DOT regulations.
* Duties may include the operation of one or several types of loading and unloading equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, hand trucks, hand lifts, hydraulic lifts, or wheel loaders.
*Required Skills & Qualifications*: * Ability to work the day shift.
* Ability to drive a manual transmission.
* 30 months of driving experience and a valid CDL Class A license required.
* Knowledge of automatic routing equipment, wet systems, relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and regulations associated with running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles.
* Ability to sit constantly, stand and walk frequently on uneven ground and throughout the yard; lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently * High School diploma, GED Certification, or experience in a similar role preferred.
*Working Conditions* * This position is regularly exposed to all weather conditions.
* Move freight and materials to and from production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew, checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
* Secure material for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
