```Primary responsibility will be delivery of products direct to customer using company provided box truck (under 26,000 lbs.
Class C).
Routes include MT and WY and require 1-2 overnights a week.
Driver will scan and load truck and work with Dir Supply Chain to optimize route.
*Education and Experience Requirements*
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
No CDL needed.
* Must pass background and drug test.
* Ability to lift (45#) and move heavy items with pallet jack/hand truck
* Basic knowledge of diesel vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Safely operate box trucks weighing under 26,000 lbs.
* Schedule routine maintenance and report any issues related to delivery vehicles to the supervisor.
* Using a handheld scanner verify that orders are accurately filled and loaded for delivery.
* Assist with stocking, shipping, receiving and will call requests when in warehouse.
* Drives warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
* Warehouse cleaning duties and building maintenance as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the vehicle
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers
- Verify the contents of each shipment against delivery documents
- Collect payments from customers, if required
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
Skills:
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Proficiency in operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks, vans, and vehicles with manual transmissions
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to locate delivery addresses
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and provide updates on delivery status
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of loading and unloading goods
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
Note: Experience with refrigerated trailers or as a courier is a plus.
