Selling a limited number of robust 10 yr old Northern Highbush Liberty (Vaccinium Corymbosum) Blueberry Bushes.
Considered one of the sweetest true to flavor varieties, they’re both edible and ornamental, adorned with a lovely spring blossom and lustrous green summer foliage.
These mid to late season ripening berries are charged with vitamin C, dietary fiber and vital antioxidants.
After enjoying your bounty of fruit watch as fall transforms your bushes into a vibrant fiery red-orange, both a delight to the eye and the mouth!
These bushes where recently pulled from commercial production in the Pacific Northwest for the purpose of crop rotation due to the need for more chill hours.
Organically grown for the last 2 years with no spray or chemicals.
They are a great pollinator for bees and will partially self-pollinate, however multiple bushes will enhance fruit set.
Liberties grow well in USDA zones 4-8 these bushes are currently pruned for commercial use at a height of 4-6ft tall if left unpruned these vigorous growers may reach a robust 6-8ft.
They grow best in well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter in full sun to partial shade.
These bushes will potentially bear around 5lbs of medium to large berries with proper transplant this year, and with care 10-15lbs next year.
These are a Great Investment, as blueberry plants live and produce for approximately 50 years.
Liberty berries are a treat fresh with firm fruit or a flavorful addition in baked goods, they last a long time in the fridge and are a great variety to preserve.
