Me (54 yr old male) and my son (30 yrs old) are looking to trade our help (labor, handyman, mechanical, electrical, ranch and farm type work) for some private land hunting (resident) opportunities in Montana.
This would be for deer, elk, black bear and maybe geese.
I don’t think we could ever do enough work to compare to what an outfitter might pay you but are only looking to harvest a few animals not as many as we can get.
We want to show our seriousness by completing work ahead of time and would like to arrange to help as soon as you need it between now and hunting season.
We both work full time jobs so most work would have to be on the weekends.
I spent 4-5 years as a young boy on a dairy farm with my two older brothers.
My single mother was an employed onsite ranch hand.
We lived in a bunk house and eventually a trailer house.
My son and I have an excellent work ethic, honest, and very respectful.
I would also love to expose my son to farm/ranch type chores and relive some of my youth.
We have many different skills including electrical, mechanical repairs including gas engines, fencing, etc.
If you just need some good hard workers for labor, that is fine too.
I would like to meet with anyone who would be interested in something like this.
I am not afraid to travel but prefer the Little Belt Mountains or South and East from there all the way to the borders of ND or SD, and WY.
It would only be me and my son hunting.
No other hunting persons would be going.
Of course, we could discuss access, access times, etc later.
