Responsibilities for Mental Health Therapist
* Assess clients' mental condition based on a review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members
* Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment according to ACA, NASW and HIPAA standards
* Plan outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities
* Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy
* Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
* Communicate clearly with other staff and clients – we value a respectful culture that recognizes professionalism and still allows time for fun
Qualifications for Mental Health Therapist
* 2+ years experience with providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood
* Valid license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LCPC preferred
* Valid MT driver's license
* Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
* Ability to work as a team member with other therapists and staff
* Ability to get notes and other documentation completed in a timely manner – typically before the end of the week in which the appointment occurred
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.
