Responsibilities include teaching up to 30 credit hours per academic year.
The successful candidate will oversee hospital clinical and skill lab coordination, and will participate in curriculum and course development, as well as outcomes assessment.
The Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography faculty is expected to participate in City College and MSU Billings committee assignments and activities, scholarly activity, online course development and delivery, teaching at non-traditional times, advising and recruiting students, grant writing, and community service.
Duties and Responsibilities DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: General Vigorously upholds a culture of academic integrity.
A commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Oversee the operation of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, while keeping the program in compliance of program accreditation Teaching Instructional preparation and teaching of assigned courses in curriculum.
Facilitate the learning process that creates safe non-threatening climate which supports learning across the health care system.
Participate in assessment of student learning activities to maximize the potential for students to learn what is necessary to meet program outcomes.
Service Advise students on a program of study.
Communicate with Student Services on issues of student advising.
Assist other faculty in advisement of students with complex or serious problems.
Serve on committees, task force(s), and special projects contributing to the growth of the Nursing Program, City College, and Montana State University Billings.
Scholarly Activities Participate in professional organizations.
Maintain appropriate certifications and licenses.
Maintain proficiency in teaching and specialty expertise.
Maintain expertise in healthcare education.
Attend selected professional development activities.
Serve on civic engagement projects.
Maintains currency in sonography education through the review of relevant journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to include existing and emerging sonography technologies, including underlying educational principles.
