Rove Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a medical office building portfolio in Billings, MT.
*General Position Summary:*
The Maintenance Technician, under direction from maintenance leadership, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all major building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, security, plumbing, and general handyman type duties.
This position is responsible for preventative maintenance and response to tenant requests for maintenance and repair.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
* Perform or coordinate with outside vendors to perform maintenance or repair of all building systems, including but not limited to working on HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
* Handle fire, life and safety issues, including monitoring safety compliance, testing and maintenance of alarms and sprinklers.
* Research broken equipment to order replacement parts, repair broken equipment.
* Ensure that all safety hazards are identified and remediated.
* Accountable for completion of work orders, tenant requests and scheduled preventative maintenance, as well as efficient management of time and materials.
*Secondary Responsibilities:*
· Support of ancillary company business lines as needed, including but not limited to property/site inspections for the brokerage and valuation teams, and property review for future management assignments.
· Assist with tenant improvement/capital projects as needed.
· Some travel may be required (using company issued vehicle) for future contracts.
· Position will be expected to transition into the on call rotation following probationary period.
*Skills & Experience:*
· Some working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security preferred.
· Ability to use various hand and power tools appropriately.
· Strong communication skills and demonstrated abilities in both written and oral communications.
· High degree of professionalism, with reliable attendance mandatory.
· Excellent analytical, trouble shooting and decision making skills.
· Ability to provide excellent customer service with professional contacts, and the ability to remain professional when occasionally working in stressful situations.
*Requirements:*
· High school diploma strongly preferred.
· Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
· Ability to pass a background check.
