TRAINING SPECIALIST Qualifications: Minimum - High School graduate or GED.
Preferred - Experience working in Human Services or a related field.
Must be able to move and stand for prolonged periods and frequently perform physically demanding tasks.
Must be computer literate or have a willingness to learn.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Supervision Received: Program Director Supervision Given: Clients assigned to program.
Conditions of Employment: Monday through Friday.
Willing to occasionally work flexible hours.
Must pass all applicable background checks and have a clean drug screen.
Any employee, who operates a vehicle on behalf of the Company, must maintain a valid driver's license and insurability to include an acceptable driving record as per insurance company guidelines.
A driving record check will be conducted at the time of hire and throughout employment.
Non-Exempt.
Environmental Conditions: May be exposed to physical and/or verbal aggression.
May be exposed to Blood Borne Pathogens and be required to use Personal Protective Equipment.
Probationary Period: Six (6) months.
Essential Duties: Implement all action statements as specified by the PSP.
Monitor client activities and report to Program Director on behavioral or medical incidents and, as directed, do follow-up.
Prepare for and attend PSP meetings for assigned clients, as directed.
Supervise clients during breaks and at lunch on assigned days.
Complete GER reports accurately and timely on any client as needed.
Work with all clients in the department to provide quality downtime activities and outings as scheduled.
Provide personal care for clients as needed, including toileting assistance, basic grooming and hygiene, hoyer transfers, ROM and other as required.
Complete accurate client training records each day or as required.
Complete and maintain all required training certifications as required.
Transport clients to community activities, outing, volunteer crews, etc.
as required.
Transport clients to and from COR as scheduled or as needed.
Read assigned materials as directed.
Participate in weekly team meetings or as requested.
Distribute medications to all clients as needed daily.
Maintain good working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders.
Promote a positive image of COR Enterprises as outlined in the Personnel Policies under Code of Ethics.
Will not violate the confidentiality of any information relating to clients/eligible workers, or any contract customers.
Observes safety and health rules, regulations, and works according to standard procedures and practices outlined in personnel and safety manuals.
Overtime as required.
