* *Position Summary*: We are looking for a Medical Equipment Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and sales for our business.
Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out.
You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services, recommend solutions, and assist with insurance billing.
A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.
Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s success.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
* Comfortable selling home medical equipment including walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, compression stockings, bathroom safety equipment etc.

* Greet and assist customers by phone or in person and receives information related to customer’s equipment and/or service needs.
* Check out customers at a register.
* Maintains and/or enters patient data accurately and thoroughly.
* Enter all documentation in the computer system accurately on a daily basis.
* Perform thorough verification of insurance to allow customers to supplement their purchase through insurance.
* Open new customer files and ensure completion or receipt of all documents needed for processing customer’s order and requests any missing documents from appropriate parties.
* Creates appropriate delivery, billing, collection and returns paperwork.
* Enters andconfirms work orders and monitors open orders for accuracy and completion.
* Instructs the customer or caregiver in the proper and safe use of equipment and provides appropriate instructional material.
* Assesses patient customer status and needs and make care plan entries and review/revise the plan of care as needed and based on analysis of Physician’s prescription.
* Responds and resolves customer concerns and inquiries quickly and professionally.
* Log all daily contacts and compliance concerns.
* Adheres to all state, federal and company mandated documentation standards.

* College degree or an Associate degree with HME/DME or Medical experience desired.
* Retail sales experience required.
* Knowledge of basic computer skills.
* Experience working with health insurance desired.
