This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team, providing expert product knowledge and support to our valued customers.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Face-to-Face Sales:* Engage with customers in-person to promote and sell irrigation-related parts, concrete tools, and supplies, fostering strong relationships and delivering outstanding customer service.
* *Order Management:* Handle ordering, receiving, and stocking of all inventoried parts and accessories, ensuring accurate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
* *Logistics Support:* Assist in loading and unloading trucks with various pipe types and sizes, utilizing forklifts and telehandlers to facilitate smooth operations.
* *Equipment Handling:* Utilize hand and power tools for daily tasks, including pressing pipe fittings and assembling hoses, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude.
* *Problem-Solving:* Proactively troubleshoot customer issues and recommend effective solutions, contributing to a positive customer experience.
* *Inventory Management:* Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with team members to ensure optimal stock levels, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
* *Equipment Maintenance:* Perform routine maintenance on rental tools and equipment, ensuring reliability and safety for customers.
* *Yard Maintenance:* Keep work areas clean and organized, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment for all team members.
* *Concrete Dye Mixing:* Operate concrete dye mixing machines as required, showcasing adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
*Qualifications:*
* Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Typing and computer skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in using hand and power tools.
* Ability to work standing up for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
* Valid driver's license and clean DMV record (required); experience pulling a trailer is a plus.
* Forklift/telehandler experience is desirable.
